Trump Says Final Decision on Iran War Strategy Is Still Pending

U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington had not yet made its final decision on how to achieve victory in the war with Iran. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office during an executive-order signing, he described the United States as doing well and contrasted what he called a “nice” approach with an alternative he described as not nice. He also said he had asked individual European presidents and prime ministers whether they would help with the war and that they had declined. Trump said the United States did not need their assistance and characterized those requests as a test.
