IRGC Threatens Israel Over Possible Attacks on Iran’s Energy Infrastructure

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened Israel on Sunday night with devastating retaliation if Iran’s energy infrastructure were attacked. The IRGC used the phrase “scorched land” to describe what it threatened to inflict on Israel. Its warning linked that threatened retaliation specifically to attacks on Iranian energy facilities, rather than announcing an attack already under way. The statement did not identify a particular target inside Israel, give a timetable for retaliation or report that an attack on those facilities had occurred.
