At the Say No to Addiction: Panel on Combating Illegal Betting and Gambling Addiction, held under the hosting of our Presidential Communications Directorate, we came together with valuable representatives of our public institutions, academic community, media, and civil society. Illegal betting and gambling are a multidimensional problem area that threatens the individual’s future, our family structure, and especially our young people, while also fueling the criminal economy. We are resolutely continuing our fight against the spread of illegal betting and gambling and, in particular, against their becoming accessible through digital platforms. To prevent the social, economic, and psychological damage they cause, we are mobilizing all our means, from protective and preventive policies to legal and financial measures. On the occasion of this important program, which will contribute to strengthening our social awareness, I would like to thank all stakeholders, panelists, and everyone who contributed, especially our Director of Communications, Mr. @burhanduran.

By closely monitoring the effects of geopolitical developments on the inflation outlook, we are prioritizing, in coordination with our institutions, policies that will limit the pass-through of external shocks to domestic prices and increase the economy’s resilience to external shocks. We are strengthening our policies aimed at increasing supply capacity and productivity in areas such as rent, food, energy, and transportation that directly affect citizens’ daily cost of living.
