Your Imperial Majesty, another year has passed since our last meeting, and this time I have a conversation with you, my dear husband, both on my own behalf and on behalf of the representatives of the Iranian nation, to pay my respects and also give a brief report on what has happened and is happening to Iran and the Iranians, with you and without you. Today marks forty-six years since the day you left Iran and the Iranians, as well as me and your family, and in this time so much has happened to us and to this land and nation. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, Iran, with two great visionary leaders, embarked on a path that no other country in the region even dared to imagine. Your father, Reza Shah the Great, saved Iran from division and disintegration during the hardest period of the world at that time and laid the foundations of a civilized and independent country. Then, through your continuous efforts, Shah of Iran, the country devastated after the war was transformed into a flourishing Iran, and a humiliated Iranian became proud and upright. Iran gradually became the object of envious looks from some and hopeful looks from others, while the superpowers also gradually began to view it with concern. At the end of that golden era, all the countries of the region longed to gain a share of what Iran had achieved, while you continued to pursue placing Iran among the most advanced countries in the world. You, Shahanshah of Iran, believing in the unconditional support of the Iranian people, accepted no agreement with the great powers of the world that differed even one step from the great Iran you envisioned. Sadly, that support was withheld from you, and without that vital backing, we have suffered, and continue to suffer to this day, its very heavy and crushing losses. The Iran you left had friendly relations with every country in the world, and their doors were open to us without visas. Iran today, however, under the title of the world's foremost sponsor of terrorism, has semi-friendly relations with only a small number of countries. In the Iran you built, an Iranian worker's income made it possible for his family to live comfortably. Today, an Iranian worker cannot even provide life's basic necessities. Your Iran invested in the world's most important factories and lent money to European countries, while today its government stands with a begging bowl, awaiting America's permission to buy food. My crowned king, I salute you as an incomparable and kind husband, and as a father who gave great love and attention to the life and upbringing of his children. I salute you as the «Commander-in-Chief of the Commanders of Your Army». With your worldview, you created for your homeland the world's fifth-largest defensive force, so that no country would even contemplate invading Iran. Iran's young and vigorous generation today, the very people whom the Islamic regime wanted to make its supporters through enormous spending and great lies about our era, with great awareness of what we built, empty-handed but with an iron will, are standing face-to-face with them, saluting the Pahlavi family and loudly demanding the fall of the regime of terror. Just recently, we witnessed the greatest massacre in the history of a nation by its ruling government. Tens of thousands of our strong young people, on the orders of Iran's leaders today, were brought down in blood and dust in only two days, leaving a grieving nation demanding vengeance. Today those same leaders are deeply embroiled in the flames of a devastating war, and the nation that once had everything, now hungry, defenseless, and desperate, does not know what tomorrow will bring. Reza, your eldest son, who was nineteen when you left, has taken charge of leading Iran's recovery and reaching the transition period. It is my hope, and the hope of all Iranians, that with the final victory of light over darkness, Iranians, united and speaking with one voice, hand in hand, will devote themselves to building its future and build once again an advanced and proud Iran.
