In light of the Israeli genocide in Gaza, the Green Party of England and Wales is set to vote on a motion declaring Zionism a form of racism—something that, in my opinion, is long overdue. If the motion passes, it would make the Greens Britain’s first anti-Zionist party and the first to support a one-state solution. There is no room for wishful or forgiving definitions of Zionism. Zionism is what Zionism does, and that is genocide and settler-colonialism. Members of the party should pass the Zionism is Racism motion without hesitation. And it is about time other parties, collectives, and institutions follow suit. Zionism must be isolated and rooted out.
