Yes, pre-war transits averaged 135-140. 20-30 is better than nothing, but nowhere near a return to status quo ante. And USG officials have repeatedly trumpeted ambitious estimates of energy exports thru Hormuz that aren't consistent w/what industry is tracking.
Predictably @SecScottBessent's "Economic D-Day" roll-out is all hype. The emperor has no clothes & the Trump administration has no actionable plan to undo the immense damage to US national security interests (and those of our Gulf partners) from @POTUS's disastrous Iran war.
As his sequel to fumbling a war of choice with Iran and empowering its regime, @POTUS is now cheerleading for WMD proliferation by our adversaries. Trump's grand strategy seems designed to produce catastrophic outcomes for US security & influence as well as global stability.
