Former PA Minister Identifies Himself as Sinwar Warning Intermediary

Former Palestinian Authority minister and former senior Fatah official Sufian Abu Zaida said he was the person previously identified as “Coal Eyes,” an intermediary linked to a message from Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar before October 7. Walla reported that Abu Zaida disclosed his identity in a video describing about a year and a half of indirect contacts concerning a Hamas-Israel exchange. Abu Zaida said Sinwar had asked him to convey a message. An earlier investigation said the message warned of a “huge surprise” and used the Arabic word zilzal, meaning earthquake.
