Israeli Jets Strike Three Areas in Southern Lebanon

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a southern Lebanese town at night beneath dark rolling hills, with several smoke columns rising beyond scattered town lights and a pale building in the foreground, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

Lebanese reporting said Israeli aircraft carried out a series of strikes late Wednesday on Nabatieh al-Fawqa, al-Qantara and al-Mansouri in southern Lebanon. Artillery fire was also reported around Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Dohat Kfar Roummane and Dabsheh Hill. Lebanon’s Health Ministry said two people were wounded in a strike on the Marj Harouf-Zibdin road in the Nabatieh district. The report did not identify the targets, and no IDF statement confirming an operational purpose was found. Al-Mansouri is in the Tyre district, while the other reported sites are in the Nabatieh area.
