Two IDF Soldiers Lightly Wounded in Beaufort Clash, Hezbollah Terrorist Killed

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of two IDF soldiers in helmets and field gear kneeling on a rocky ridge beneath a blue, cloud-filled sky, drawn in warm ochre and slate-blue pastel with cross-hatching on sepia newsprint.

During Golani Reconnaissance Unit searches in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon, a Hezbollah terrorist opened fire from a building, the IDF said. The soldiers returned fire immediately and killed him in the close-range encounter. Two IDF soldiers were lightly wounded, evacuated to a hospital and their families were notified. The military said it subsequently struck Hezbollah weapons-storage facilities, command centers and other terrorist infrastructure in the area, and would continue removing threats while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement.
