U.S. prosecutors filed 21 proposed Arabic-to-English transcripts in the federal case against Mahmoud Amin Ya’qub Al-Muhtadi, alleging they document his role in the Hamas-led October 7 attack. In one intercepted call at 8:55 a.m., participants discussed rifles, missing ammunition and readiness; in a 9:33 a.m. call, prosecutors say Al-Muhtadi stated that he was inside Israel, urged others to enter, requested more ammunition and ordered phones switched off. The government says Al-Muhtadi belonged to a Gaza terrorist militia that participated in the assault. The allegations remain unproven, and trial is scheduled for January 25, 2027.
