Keren Olam HaTorah said contributions to its campaign for Israeli yeshivas and kollelim passed $130 million as its online tally continued to rise on Thursday. The charity says it supports 1,489 institutions serving 120,000 Torah learners and their families, or about 350,000 people. The group says the institutions require $12 million each month and that it distributes an average of NIS 1 million a day. More than 32,000 donors in 24 countries have contributed, including over $17 million from donors giving less than $10,000.
