Israeli Tanks Advanced Near Deir Mimas, Then Withdrew, Lebanese Reports Say

Lebanese state media reported that two Israeli tanks advanced along the road toward Deir Mimas in southern Lebanon and halted at an earthen berm opposite Lebanese Army vehicles. Lebanese vehicles moved about 100 meters while troops held their position and reinforcements arrived from Burj al-Muluk. Reports said Israeli forces threw six stun grenades near the town's inner entrance and searched several homes before withdrawing to Tall al-Nahhas. Lebanese troops remained deployed on the public road at Burj al-Muluk; Israel had not issued an event-specific statement at publication time.
