Katz Orders General Closure of Judea and Samaria for Sukkot and Chol HaMoed

Defense Minister Israel Katz on Sunday instructed the IDF to impose a general closure on Judea and Samaria through Sukkot and Chol HaMoed, in line with the military's recommendation following recent attacks and ahead of the holiday period. Palestinian workers will not be allowed to enter Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria during the holiday, while workers defined as essential may enter the area's industrial zones under Central Command security guidelines. No exceptional permits will be approved beyond those stemming from the state's commitments to the High Court. A similar closure is imposed on all Tishrei holidays, and the IDF is reinforcing its sectors, including Central Command, through the holiday.
