Canada announced nearly C$26 million for 31 Greater Toronto Area businesses and organizations on October 2. Evan Solomon, the minister responsible for FedDev Ontario, made the announcement in Brampton alongside Treasury Board President Shafqat Ali. Funding through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative is intended to help recipients adopt technology, increase production, strengthen supply chains and diversify markets amid tariff pressures. Brampton steel-door and frame manufacturer Daybar Industries Limited is undertaking a project worth more than C$12 million, including C$700,000 from FedDev Ontario.
