CIDI Says It Will Take Israeli’s Dutch Course Rejection Case to Human Rights Institute

CIDI said Friday that it would take an Israeli resident’s rejection from a Dutch language course to the Netherlands Institute for Human Rights. According to the organization, the applicant, identified as Y., was told during his intake that he had to acknowledge that genocide was being committed in Gaza. CIDI said he replied that he did not regard that characterization as established and that possible war crimes should be investigated and tried, after which the teacher rejected him for lacking the “right” political conviction. The organization released a recording of the exchange.
