17 Local Planning Committees Lack Required Building-Offence Surveys

The Land Enforcement Authority has reportedly identified 17 of Israel's 131 local planning and building committees that have not completed or updated mandatory building-offence surveys. The list includes Kfar Saba, Dimona, Lehavim and Ramat HaSharon; committees are required to publish their surveys and update them every five years. Repeated approaches have not produced completed surveys or responses, and the authority is considering further measures. The law allows it to prepare the surveys itself and charge committees twice the preparation expenses, but no replacement survey or charge has been announced.
