The IDF said early Monday that its forces had identified a suspect attempting to enter an Israeli military outpost in the security zone in southern Syria. Troops opened fire after quickly identifying the attempt and killed the suspect, according to the military's statement. The IDF reported no injuries among its troops in the incident. The military said it would continue operating in the security zone to remove threats to Israeli citizens and to the forces deployed there.
