Jerusalem district commander Avshalom Peled has assigned the investigation into Tuesday morning's car explosion in Armon Hanatziv to the district Central Unit. Police said he made the decision after a scene assessment with investigators and a bomb-disposal officer, and directed resources toward collecting evidence and identifying suspects. The explosion on Meir Feinstein Street was reported to police at about 08:15 and wounded two people. Oz station investigators and district bomb technicians collected evidence suggesting an explosive device caused the blast. Police said the suspected criminal background and circumstances were being examined.
