Netanyahu Reportedly to Miss October 22 State Rabin Memorial Ceremony

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly will not attend the state memorial ceremony for former prime minister Yitzhak Rabin at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem on October 22. The government office has contacted ministers to find a replacement to attend the ceremony and lay the government wreath. The Ministry of Education identifies October 22, 2026, as the date marking the 31st anniversary of Rabin’s assassination. The attendance report names no replacement minister and gives no reason for Netanyahu’s expected absence. The ceremony has not yet taken place.
