IDF Announces Monday Morning Drill Near Dead Sea Hotels

The IDF announced that a military drill will take place on Monday morning, October 12, in the Dead Sea hotel area, within Tamar and Megillot regional councils. The exercise will involve increased movement of security forces and vehicles in the area. Gunfire and the sounds of explosions are also expected during the drill. The IDF said the exercise had been planned in advance as part of its 2026 training program and emphasized that there was no concern about a security incident.
