IDF declared a closed military area in the western Negev on Sunday, with the order remaining in force until 8:00 a.m. Monday. The closure runs from Yad Mordechai Junction west of Highway 34 to Sha'ar HaNegev Junction, then west of Highway 232 to Kerem Shalom. Residents and employees in the affected communities will still be allowed to enter. The military announcement did not state the reason for the closure, report any change to Home Front Command civilian instructions, or identify additional restrictions beyond the specified roads and access window.
