Police Disclose Arrest of Suspect After Filming Bnei Brak Light-Rail Station

Police said Tuesday morning that a 32-year-old Palestinian resident of Judea and Samaria was arrested Monday after photographing and filming at Aharonovich underground light-rail station in Bnei Brak. Station security guards noticed him and summoned light-rail police officers. Police said he was in Israel unlawfully and initially gave false identification details, claiming to be an Israeli resident of Taiba. Investigators suspect previous involvement in attacks against Israeli targets, and the Shin Bet is participating in the investigation. He was taken for questioning at Bnei Brak police station, with a detention-extension hearing scheduled for Tuesday at Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court.
