Police Seal Off Eshtaol Forest Area After Suspected Old Munition Found

Police cordoned off part of Eshtaol Forest on Wednesday after a citizen reported a suspicious object believed to be an old unexploded munition. Border Police personnel from the Mateh Yehuda station moved civilians away from the immediate area so bomb technicians could work safely. Jerusalem District bomb technicians were examining the object, and police said an explosion sound was expected as part of the operation. Its identification and disposal had not been confirmed in the announcement. Police reminded the public not to approach, touch or move suspicious objects and to report them to the 100 emergency line.
