Leumi CEO Pledges Digital Account Opening for Small Companies by End of 2026

Bank Leumi CEO Hanan Friedman said small limited companies would be able to complete account opening digitally by the end of 2026. Responding to a customer on X, he addressed a question about why opening a limited company's account requires a branch visit while personal accounts can be opened remotely. Friedman acknowledged the burden on small companies and apologized to customers who had been directed to branches. He said medium and large companies already have access to digital account opening.
