Oregon Governor Confirms Four Killed in Silver Rail School Shooting

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek said three children and one adult were killed in the October 15 shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School. One adult and one child were injured, and the sixteen-year-old suspected shooter was also killed, according to her office. Kotek thanked school staff, parents and first responders, along with the community member who intervened to stop further loss of life. The Oregon Department of Emergency Management is coordinating across multiple state agencies, and the governor said the state stands ready to support the community.
