Singapore’s September Non-Oil Domestic Exports Rise 68.4%

Singapore’s non-oil domestic exports rose 68.4% year on year in September, extending August’s 46.1% increase, Enterprise Singapore reported on October 16. Non-electronics led the expansion, mainly because of irregular, large shipments of ship and boat structures. Electronics exports also continued to surge, supported by robust demand related to artificial intelligence for disk media products, integrated circuits and personal computers. Non-oil re-exports grew 47.8%, down from 53.2% in August, while total merchandise trade increased 50.8% after August’s 44.4% rise, with both exports and imports growing.
