Davidovich Fokina Beats Zverev to Reach Shanghai Masters Final

Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina defeated top seed Alexander Zverev 5-7, 6-4, 6-3 in Shanghai on Saturday to reach his second ATP Masters 1000 final. The 25th seed recovered from losing the opening set and broke early in the deciding set after a Zverev double fault. He will face Daniil Medvedev or Rafael Jodar in Sunday's final. Davidovich Fokina previously reached a Masters final at Monte-Carlo in 2022, when he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas, and Saturday's result was his sixth victory over a top-five opponent.
