Man About 45 Critical After Losing Consciousness While Driving in Bat Yam

A man about 45 was taken to Wolfson Hospital in critical condition after losing consciousness while driving on HaKomemiyut Street in Bat Yam and hitting a wall. The loss of consciousness was apparently linked to a cardiac event. Magen David Adom crews treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital. MDA emergency medic Noam Barzani said the driver was unconscious, had no pulse and was not breathing when responders reached him. The crews performed resuscitation, including medication and electric shocks, and continued those efforts during the journey to hospital.
