Police Arrest Two Suspects in Ashkelon Teen’s Killing, Detain Eight More

Police arrested two suspects and detained eight additional people for questioning over the fatal stabbing of a 17-year-old Ashkelon resident, the force announced Sunday morning. The teenager had been critically injured overnight, was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead there; another person was also injured. Police said their initial suspicion was that the stabbing stemmed from a criminal dispute. Southern District commander Haim Bublil assigned the murder investigation to the Lachish central investigative unit, and the investigation remains ongoing.
