Saudi-Led Coalition Says Najran Helicopter Crash Killed Two Officers

Saudi-led coalition spokesman Major General Turki Al-Malki said an AH-6i reconnaissance helicopter crashed inside Saudi territory in the Najran region, killing its two crew members. In a statement dated October 18, the coalition attributed the crash to a technical malfunction and said both of those killed were officers. The aircraft belonged to Saudi Arabia's Ministry of National Guard, according to the statement. Al-Malki, speaking for the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, offered condolences to the officers' families.
