Trump Says East Potomac Golf Course Will Close Nov. 15 for 15-Month Renovation

President Donald Trump said East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, D.C., would close on Nov. 15 for a renovation expected to take approximately 15 months. He said the Interior Department, led by Doug Burgum, worked with architect Tom Fazio on the design and that the renovated course would be open to the public. The proposal faces a lawsuit by a preservation group and two residents. U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes has barred further tree cutting through Oct. 26 and required three business days’ written notice before any irreparable modification.
