Ahold Delhaize Files Dutch Police Report Over Cybersecurity Incident

Ahold Delhaize said on October 19 that it had filed a formal report with Dutch police after its investigation confirmed malicious activity behind a cybersecurity incident disclosed on October 12. The retailer took some systems offline, affecting websites and apps across Europe and the United States, while all stores remained open. Albert Heijn's website and app are back online, with home deliveries expected to resume on October 23. Belgian e-commerce is fully operational, and U.S. services are expected back in coming days. The company said its continuing investigation had found no evidence suggesting sensitive customer, associate or partner data was taken.
