Hurricane Trudy weakened to Category 1 off Mexico's Pacific coast, with maximum sustained winds of 130 km/h at 03:00 UTC on October 19. Mexico's weather service placed its center 215 km west-southwest of Cabo Corrientes in Jalisco, moving northwest at 11 km/h. It forecast coastal waves of 3–5 metres in Jalisco and rainfall of 50–75 mm along the state's coast and south. The U.S. National Hurricane Center forecast continued rapid weakening, with no coastal watches or warnings in effect. It said dangerous swells could cause life-threatening surf and rip currents along southwestern and west-central Mexico for two to three days.
