Boca Juniors Beat Vasco 3–1 to Reach Copa Sudamericana Final

Boca Juniors beat Vasco da Gama 3–1 at the Maracaná in Rio de Janeiro on October 20 to reach the Copa Sudamericana final, advancing 3–2 on aggregate. Lautaro Di Lollo, Miguel Merentiel and substitute Leandro Paredes scored for Boca, while José Luis Rodríguez replied for Vasco. Boca had lost the first leg 1–0 at La Bombonera, but Paredes’ late long-range strike sent the Argentine club into its third final in the competition. The final is scheduled for November 21 in Barranquilla, Colombia; Boca previously won the tournament in 2004 and 2005.
