Dutch Government Reports DigiD and Other Websites Taken Offline Over PHP Flaws

The Dutch government said on October 21 that several public websites, including Overheid.nl, MijnOverheid.nl and DigiD, had been taken offline as a precaution after two vulnerabilities were found in PHP. Its National Cyber Security Centre said its own NCSC.nl website had also temporarily gone offline. At the time of the announcement, the government said there were no indications the flaws were being actively exploited. It said many central-government websites, including Rijksoverheid.nl, did not use PHP and were unaffected by this issue.
