Rubio Visits Reliance’s Jamnagar Complex as U.S. Envoy Highlights Energy Trade

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador Sergio Gor visited Reliance's facilities in Jamnagar, Gujarat, on Wednesday. Gor said the U.S. share of India's liquefied petroleum gas imports had risen from below 10% to 67% over the past year, making the United States its largest supplier. He also pointed to Reliance's planned investment in a new U.S. refinery as an opportunity for American energy production and jobs. The visit followed Rubio's Tuesday talks in Mumbai with Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on strategic relations and a proposed trade agreement.
