Fireblocks Denies Reports of $2.5 Billion Visa Acquisition Talks

Fireblocks has denied reports that Visa is in talks to acquire the Israeli-founded digital-asset infrastructure company for about $2.5 billion. The company said the reported negotiations were not true at present. Fireblocks develops tools that financial institutions use to hold, transfer and manage digital assets, including infrastructure for stablecoin payments. The reported price is below the $8 billion valuation Fireblocks reached in a $550 million funding round in 2022. The company’s denial leaves the reported acquisition discussions unconfirmed.
