Türkiye Says It Awaits Qatar’s Eurofighter Sale Contract and Training Plan

Türkiye’s Defense Ministry said on Thursday that work continues to acquire Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft from Qatar to meet the Turkish Air Force’s operational requirements. The ministry said it expects Qatar to prepare and send a draft training program and a sales contract. Delegation meetings in August and September discussed the aircraft and ammunition to be acquired, along with training for pilots and maintenance personnel. The discussions also covered technical and logistical support for maintaining and operating the aircraft; the ministry’s update did not announce a completed sale.
