Delhi High Court Rejects Neha Bora’s Challenge to Peace-Bond Notice

Delhi High Court on October 23 rejected, at this stage, All India Students’ Association president Neha Bora’s challenge to a preventive peace-bond notice. Justice Subramonium Prasad directed the Special Executive Magistrate to provide her with all relevant materials before passing an order in the inquiry. The October 17 notice concerned a ₹10,000 personal bond and one surety. Bora’s lawyer argued that her October 16 protest call was peaceful and that the notice lacked sufficient supporting material. Delhi Police opposed the petition, arguing that the magistrate could begin the preventive process on information received.
