Dubai Police Say Six Arrested Over Fake Shopping Website Scheme

Dubai Police said six suspects had been arrested over a fake online shopping website allegedly used to steal customers' bank card details. Police said victims reported unauthorized deductions, with stolen information used for purchases and transfers to digital wallets and bank accounts. A specialist criminal investigation team identified the suspects and carried out a coordinated raid, recovering victims' bank cards and cheque books. One complainant, identified as S.N., said the deductions depleted savings built up over several years. Police also alleged that some stolen card details were sold to other fraudsters.
