Netanyahu Says He Is Taking Bank of Israel’s Crypto Objections Into Account

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Saturday evening that he was hearing the Bank of Israel’s objections to cryptocurrency and taking them into account. In a televised interview, he described cryptocurrency as one possible tool rather than the only option, and said it was uncertain whether it would be used. Netanyahu acknowledged receiving advice from several parties, including the central bank, and thanked the bank for its input. He said he was listening to that advice while retaining his own judgment about the course to take.
