Pezeshkian Calls for New Attempt at Interim Deal With US

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called for another attempt to conclude an interim agreement with the United States in remarks broadcast on state television Saturday. He blamed Washington for the breakdown of the negotiations and said he still believed the agreement should be concluded. His appeal followed President Donald Trump's warning at a Friday rally in Fort Myers, Florida, that Iran faced another military operation unless it agreed to a deal. Trump said his objective was to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
