Labor Court to Decide Levin Plan for Prosecutor Selection Exams

Israel's Labor Court is set to decide whether Justice Minister Yariv Levin's pilot for senior State Attorney's Office tenders can proceed after the parties submitted final briefs. The disclosed plan would, for the first time, require candidates to undergo screening tests and an occupational institute assessment. Justice Ministry Director-General Itamar Donenfeld froze several tenders, including for the director of the High Court petitions department, so they could enter the pilot. State Attorney Amit Aisman initially supported the process, but opposed expanding it beyond the senior posts covered by the committee's agreement.
