India said it categorically rejects a Court of Arbitration award on the Indus Waters Treaty, calling the panel illegally constituted and saying the treaty remains in abeyance. The panel unanimously ruled that India’s April 2025 move was not permitted by the treaty or international law and said the 1960 pact remains fully in force.
