Singapore police issued stern warnings to two members of the British band Massive Attack and barred them from re-entering the country after they displayed a Palestinian flag during a July 29 concert. One member also shouted “Free Palestine,” according to a joint police and media regulator statement. The regulator said it will reject future applications for the band to perform in Singapore and is investigating possible license breaches, including a ban on flags supporting causes. Authorities said the action was intended to protect racial and religious harmony and prevent foreign political conflicts from undermining social cohesion.
