Israel marks 81st anniversary of Auschwitz liberation
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, Israel and the world commemorated the 81st anniversary of Auschwitz-Birkenau's liberation by Soviet forces in 1945, where approximately 1.1 million people, mostly Jews, had been murdered.
