Jerusalem Day 5786 marked the 59th anniversary of Israel's capture of East Jerusalem in the 1967 Six-Day War. Tens of thousands attended the annual Flag March, which maintained its route through the Muslim Quarter despite warnings of friction; 13 detentions were reported after clashes in the Old City.
