EASA Extends Iran Airspace Warning to July 8
The European Union Aviation Safety Agency extended its Middle East and Persian Gulf conflict-zone bulletin to July 8, telling operators not to use Iranian, Iraqi or Lebanese airspace and to exercise caution over Israel, Jordan and Gulf states. EASA cites the U.S.-Israel strikes on Iran, Iranian retaliation, Tehran's nationwide air-defense alert, recurrent Iranian-linked activity over Iraq and the fragile Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire in Lebanon. Times of Israel and Reuters-carried coverage report the same extension after a prior July 1 deadline. For Israel, the aviation warning is another operational sign that Iran and Hezbollah still impose regional risk even while diplomats talk.
