IDF Locates Soldiers Behind Gaza Detainee Photo

At 17:36 IDT, the IDF said it had located the soldiers behind a circulated photo showing a Palestinian detainee blindfolded and bound to a folding bed in Gaza. The military said a commanders' investigation is underway and those involved will be handled according to the findings. A July 1 IDF response said the image, if authentic, did not align with IDF values and orders, and a military source rejected anti-Israel claims that it came from Kfir's Netzah Yehuda Battalion in northern Gaza. Israel is right to investigate misconduct while rebutting false unit accusations used to smear combat troops.
