Burned Vehicle Found After Umm al-Fahm Murder

On July 5, a burned vehicle was found in the Umm al-Fahm area after Mohammad Qassab, a man in his 30s, was murdered overnight. The vehicle was suspected of being used by the assassins and set alight to destroy evidence. Police were checking the connection to the Umm al-Fahm and Deir Hanna murders, and an earlier police update said the Umm al-Fahm scene had been tampered with, washed and stripped of evidence before officers arrived. Israel must answer Arab-crime violence with professional policing, witness protection and deterrence that lets law-abiding Arab citizens live safely.
