Burned Vehicle Found After Umm al-Fahm Murder
Ynet reported July 5 at 09:16 IDT that a burned vehicle was found in the Umm al-Fahm area after Mohammad Qassab, a man in his 30s, was murdered overnight. The report said the vehicle was suspected of being used by the assassins and set alight to destroy evidence. Maariv published a 09:45 IDT follow-up saying police were checking the connection to the Umm al-Fahm and Deir Hanna murders, while an earlier Ynetnews police update said the Umm al-Fahm scene had been tampered with, washed and stripped of evidence before officers arrived. Israel must answer Arab-crime violence with professional policing, witness protection and deterrence that lets law-abiding Arab citizens live safely.
